The
entrance hall contains four detailed doorway
entrances to The Inn’s Main Parlor, Game
and Breakfast Rooms. The original cobalt
glass, silver and crystal chandelier hangs from
its high ceiling. An original portrait of Dutch
noble woman Elizabeth Bass hangs from the east
wall. The Breakfast Room was the original dining
room of the home.
At the far end of the Hall is the Reception
Desk and the original elegant, rounded, spiral
staircase leading to the second floor. The
double Parlors each include beautiful fireplaces
and ample sitting room for an afternoon’s
or evening’s relaxation. The Pantry includes a period fireplace with
stenciled slate threshold and authentic English china displayed on the mantle.
The walls of The Inn display selected original paintings from Fenimore Art
Museum and the Clark family collection.
The Inn has been totally refurbished
and painted, including the decorative period
woodwork throughout the Main Floor. Additionally,
for the health and safety of all our guests,
The Inn is a "smoke-free" environment. |
